Unzip the Linx.zip file you downloaded earlier to your PC.
Open up /admin/config.inc.php in a text editor and change the settings below as instructed.
database_url = The Hostname of your MySQL server i.e. 'sql.yourdomain.com' database_name = The Database Name of your MySQL server i.e. 'mydatabasename' database_user = The Username of your MySQL server i.e. 'sqlusername' database_pass = The Username of your MySQL server i.e. 'sqlusername'
In /admin/config.inc.php change the Paths and URL's to point to your servers directorys.
base_admin_path = The path to the directory that contains your admin files. base_templates_path = The path to your templates directory. base_build_path = The path to the directory where your linx pages will be built. base_build_url = The URL of the directory where your linx pages will be built. page_extension = The extension for built pages, normally 'index.html'.
Upload the directory /admin/ from your PC to your server in the directory you specified in step 3.
Call up create-tables.php in your browser, the URL will be something like http://www.your-domain.com/linx/admin/create-tables.php
create-tables.php will connect to your MySQL database and confirm there is no conflicts with tables names. Once done, it will create the tables for use with linx in your MySQL database or else report any errors encountered.
If step 6 reports that any tables already exist you will need to edit your /admin/config.inc.php file and change the names of the tables and re run the create-tables.php script in step 6
Open up /new-pages/add.php and /new-pages/search.php and edit the second line down in each file to point to the absolute path of config.inc.php on your webserver.
You can now upload /new-pages/ from your PC to your server in the directory you specified in step 3.
Now, call up your admin directory URL in your browser, it will be something like http://www.your-domain.com/linx/admin/
